Everyone says that beauty is from the inside and this is really true. However, it can also come from the bee hives! Say goodbye to those dark circles under your eyes, patches or skin issues. HONEY will help you for all of these! If you need some cheap and effective tanning, acne or dandruff removal, you should use raw honey for all those beauty regimes.

Honey is not just very healthy but it’s also great for beauty uses. Honey has antiseptic, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties and lessens inflammation as well. It is very beneficial for the skin!

Here are the 7 benefits of honey for beauty:

1# Fading scars – any shape or size of a scar can be ugly especially if it’s on some visible parts. They are hard to treat completely and very hard to be removed, but honey is able to make them fade a bit more. It also makes healing of the skin faster and regenerates the skin cells as well.

You need to mix same parts of honey and coconut oil, both RAW. Massage that mixture on your skin and in circle motions for around 2 minutes. Then you should put some cloth on this area and leave until it cools. Wipe everything with cotton and repeat once more the next day.

2# Psoriasis treating – this is an autoimmune disease and impairs the skin cells. It can make blisters, lesions, redness and itch. Honey isn’t the CURE for this but can keep the damaged skin from further infections.

Also honey can soothe the dryness, peeling and the skin patching. In a study from 2003, conducted by the Complementary Therapies in medicine was found that topical use of a mixture of honey and beeswax or olive oil is very beneficial for dermatitis and psoriasis.

You need to make a mixture of 1 teaspoon of honey with same parts of olive oil or beeswax. Put that in microwave and warm up. Stir nicely until everything is melted and then let it cool. Apply the mixture as lotion on those areas couple of times during the day. Of course you should not scratch or pick the skin!

3# Minor cuts/wounds healing –honey is also very beneficial in curing these issues as it removes the germs. It takes the extra fluid from that area and speeds the healing time. Honey even stops the microorganisms to grow more and infect it. In a study conducted in 2013 by the Cochrane Database Systematic Reviews was said that honey can topically treat wounds.

However, it cannot treat chronic issues such as ulcers or after surgery wounds. To cure the minor ones, you can use Manuka. Put a thick layer on the cut and place a bandage over it. After a couple of hours remove it and clean the skin with some cloth. Repeat when you like.

4# No acne – acne occurs because of the excess skin oil in the pores and the dust trapped in them. Honey removes the bacteria because it’s antibiotic by nature and it lessens inflammation. Put the raw honey on the acne and the skin around it. After about half an hour you need to rinse well. You should do this few times a day. Or you can also mix 1 tablespoon honey and half a teaspoon of cinnamon.  Keep it 15 minutes on the acne, then rinse it and do it again the next day.

5# Softer hands – the dry hands might be a health issue as well because the skin can start to hurt.  If you have that problem, you need to rub honey on the hands and after 10 minutes rinse them. Then put some hand cream. You need to repeat this every day. Also, you can mix same parts of glycerin and honey. Leave it to dry on your hands and wash with water. Repeat every day.

6# Slower the skin aging – due to the fact that it has antioxidants, honey keeps the skin healthy from the free radical damage. Those radicals speed up the aging process and make the skin saggy. Also, you need to drink a lot of water to keep skin youthful. Make a mixture of same parts honey and lemon juice and put it on your face and neck and when it’s dry, rinse well with water.

Do this treatment twice a week. Also, you can mix 2 tablespoons of honey with avocado pulp. With your fingers, spread the mask on the face. After around 30 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water. Do this once a week.

7# Hair loss – you can prevent baldness in this way. Honey has antioxidant properties and it kills germs or bacteria that reduce the hair and promotes new hair to grow. Moreover, if you want to keep dandruff under control and you need to make a mixture of one tablespoon of honey and onion juice at same doses.

Massage the scalp and roots with this mixture and after 30 minutes you can wash your hair with shampoo. Repeat the procedure twice a week week. Also, you can make hair mask by mixing same parts of yoghurt and honey. Put the mixture on a wet hair and after 40 min wash your hair with shampoo. Do this three times per week.
